Buying art entails a number of things that most people aren’t aware of. There are some tips that would be more obvious and some you may not know. Check out our tips for starting out your art collection.

The first and most obvious thing to consider is your attraction to the art. Each piece should pull you in and be continually intriguing. Having attraction to a piece will not only lead to enjoyment, but also the desire to discover more about the work and the artist.

Another more obvious thing to consider is budget. Having a strict budget does not mean you cannot find the perfect piece for you and your space. Make sure you also consider framing and shipping costs.

Lastly is research the artist! Finding out more about the passion and drive behind an artists work can tell you a lot about not only the meaning of the work but the potential worth and growth of the artist.
