Art styles are ever-changing and constantly developing. These styles emerge from different philosophy’s and follow different ideologies. However, art is not something can be specifically labeled. These movements and groups are used to note similar artistic styles and movements. Lets get into it!
Conceptual Art:
Conceptual art is unique in that the final ‘product’ is mute without context or the theoretical behind the piece. This leads to pieces that are deeply subjective in nature. When interoperated by the viewer, the piece can take on many forms.
Impressionism
Impressionism is a 19th Century movement that places emphasis on the movement and changes of light in a space. This is through small, thin and visible brush strokes. Pieces normally display scenes of everyday life.
Pop Art
Pop Art emerged in the 1950’s, getting its name from its use of popular images from commercial culture. It was a challenge to the traditional art styles that existed, playing with the rise of pop culture and mass production.
